Hundreds of thousand of Palestinians to attend prayers at al-Aqsa mosque on the first Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, sending shockwaves among Israeli security apparatus.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, Israeli occupation troops and police have been deployed in large numbers throughout the holy city.

Roadblocks have been set up on various roads and young people were stopped and their ID papers were checked.

Barricades too have been placed at the gates of the Aqsa Mosque to check the demography of the congregational prayers.

The occupation forces say they want to bar worshipers under the age of 40 from entering the Aqsa Mosque.
